Let the guy do the chasing

In other words, let him call you, pursue you, ask you out. A man who is really interested in you will basically do most of the work in the beginning of the relationship because he must have you, explains Ellen Fein, co-author of The Rules.

Let him pay for the first date

It's just chivalrous for men to pick up the tab -- especially on the first date. "Equality and Dutch treat are fine in the workplace, but not in the romantic playing field," says Fein.

Don't rush into sex

Or you'll risk having him think you're easy. "If he really cares about you, he will respect your boundaries," says Fein. "If he's a gentleman, he'll let the physical part of the relationship develop at your pace and never force anything on you."
