Male Mysteries -- Solved!Experts explain why men act the way they do.

You probably have no problem saying it to your guy, but why do some men literally choke on these three words? It all starts with our brains, according to Scott Haltzman, M.D., author of The Secrets of Happily Married Women.
Women are better at putting emotions into words, because compared with a man, we have more fully developed pathways between the brain hemispheres that enable us to integrate information from the left brain (where language is processed) with the intuitive right brain.
"But men may have difficulty making the right brain talk with the left brain so that they can access emotion and language at the same time," says Haltzman. That's why for a lot of men, it's really difficult for them to verbalize their love in a manner that does not feel forced or phony.
That doesn’t mean your guy doesn’t express his emotions, though. He just does it in other ways. When he cooks you a meal or gives you a massage, those loving actions may be his way of showing his affection for you.
